Nathan Hui

Currently a master's student at San Jose State University, where I am studying Human Factors. I am passionate about designing interfaces that integrates technology that adapts to the user needs and simplify their experiences.

My Background

Growing up in Silicon Valley, I was surrounded by innovative technology and was constantly curious about how people interacted with it. That early fascination turned into a passion for understanding human behavior and designing experiences that feel natural and supportive. With a background in kinesiology and a master’s in Human Factors, I bring a unique perspective that blends human capabilities with thoughtful design.

Design Philosophy

A big inspiration in my design philosophy is the designer Dieter Rams and his 10 design principles. His focus on simplicity and usefulness resonated with me, reminding me that good design doesn’t need to shout, but should quietly blend into the user’s life.

With this inspiration, my goal is to design products that work effortlessly while blending seamlessly into people’s lives. By applying my knowledge of human behavior and capabilities, I strive to create solutions that feel intuitive and natural to use.
